Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Let me start by saying I HATED robot vacuums before getting this. I had bought an early model from another brand, and it would randomly run until it hit something turn and repeat. This was basically useless. It never really cleaned, and was constantly stuck, or ran out of batteries before finding its way back to the base. This couldn’t be more different.Setup: I was tentative from the start. But, I told it to start mapping and forgot about it. 15 minutes later I saw it on the base and assumed I never started it or it failed, so I opened the app and saw a highly detailed map of my house. I was amazed. It had mapped and returned to the base so quick I assume it didn’t work. I used my phone and assigned room boundaries to the map, put a DO NOT GO zone over the basement stairs to be safe, and setup the app to auto vacuum at 6am on M/W/F.Running: I have had only one time it needed intervention. It sucked a small cat toy into the roller and detected the strain on the motor and stopped, asked for help. It took about 60 seconds to open the roller, remove it, remove the toy, and put it back together. It resumed the process and finished. I have had it for months and that is the only time I have intervened.Vacuum quality: Each time I empty the bin I am horrified at the amount of dust and cat hair that it is picking up. It is running 3x a week, and in one week it takes a kitten worth of hair off the hard wood, and enough dust to make you queasy looking at it. It is a powerful vacuum, it gets the entire house when it runs, and does a great job, but it is quiet enough to run without waking anyone up.Pros: Setup, simple. Set and forget. Empty once a week or two or three. Almost no human intervention required. I don’t prep for vacuuming, don’t tidy up, don’t do anything. It just works and works well. Lidar constantly updating the map, it rarely touches anything, so it doesn’t scratch walls and furniture, it uses sensors and lidar to “see” the obstacles and work around them.Cons: It takes a recharge to fully do the house. We work from home and I can’t tell it the order to vacuum. So sometimes our offices are the last rooms, and by the time it runs, recharges and starts the second half I am already working and it wants to come vacuum my office. If I could set the order of room vacuuming it would be literally perfect. That is the ONLY con I can possibly think of. Seriously, it is THAT good. I don’t know what the $1000+ models can do that this can’t.
Customer Review: Wow can I say it again! Just WOW. I bought this little thing for my mother for Christmas, sadly she passed away before I could give it to her. Honestly I was going to return it and get my money back, but decided why not give it a try, and I am so happy I did . This thing is a workhorse I have 2 very hairy cats who shed like crazy I also have very thick deep carpeting in my home. Well not a problem for this robot vac. It was easy to set up and it mapped my house on the first time around. I ran it on eco the first time and it did an ok job but it was a suggestion to run it on low the first time. My second run was amazing. I let it go and 55 minutes later my carpets were clean, including the clumps of hair my cats deposit all over the house everyday so I set it up to run @ 6 am everyday and like clockwork at 6 am every morning it just goes. I would definitely recommend this little robot vac to everyone as I am amazed at how well this gets my floors clean . The app is easy to use and the vac is really quiet while running well worth the price I paid.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This thing is just awesome. I gave her name and some googly eyes, and now she is my official cleaning lady. Does a great job with dog hair which was the main reason for the purpose. I was vacuuming all the time. I have hard floors and 3 dogs one of which is a golden retriever that sheds like crazy. The D20 does really great getting up the pet hair along with other stuff in the floor. I have a couple area rugs as well as thick mats in front of the front and back doors, and she does great on both. I definitely make sure to get up any cables or little things like door stops as she will get caught up from time to time. The app works great and does a good job of sending alerts when there is an issue. It lets you know if it’s hung up on something, stick on an edge and if the cleaners are tangled up underneath along with other things. It’s really easy to flip over and take off the brushes to clean them out and untangle them, and easy to put it all back together. You can also schedule her to clean any time of day / night and customize how it cleans certain areas. I prefer to let her run late at night while me and the dogs are sleeping, and she gets the house done in about 90 minutes and covers a lot of ground. She’s also surprisingly quiet for as much as she is picking up. If I’m already awake, I can hear her start to roll around upstairs. But I’ve never been woken up by her, nor have my dogs. I have never used the mop feature as I bought it only for the vacuuming. From what I’ve read it seems there are better options for mopping. But as far as vacuuming goes I am super happy with her! I was vacuuming 3-4 times a week and would usually mop every other week, if ai could get away with it. Now I vacuum and mop once every two weeks, and Dreame does a wonderful job keeping the place clean in between my bi-weekly cleanings. The D20 was a great purchase and a major time and energy saver for me!
Customer Review: This DREAME D20 Plus is a powerhouse! The 13,000Pa suction is no joke—it picks up pet hair and dust effortlessly from both my rugs and hardwood. The self-emptying base is a total game-changer; I haven’t had to touch the dustbin in weeks. Mapping was fast and accurate, and the app is super easy to use. If you want a hands-off cleaning experience without spending $300, get this one!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I’ve only had this for a couple of days but it seems to be working great. I purchased this to replace my 7-year-old I robot vacuum which just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I have a dog and a cat and this seems to handle the pet hair with ease. The noise level while it’s vacuuming is good, but when it docks and cleans out the dustbin into the big dust bin it’s rather noisy, but that’s only for like 15 or 20 seconds. My apartment is 1,270 ft and it does have to go back and dock itself to recharge before it’ll finish the last little part which takes all of maybe 10 minutes total to finish up. It is nice though that it’ll finish the job on its own without me having to reactivate it after it’s done charging. The mapping process was fairly easy and it seems to be doing a really good job at cleaning up the random cat litter and dog/cat hair off the floors. Overall I’m really happy with this product.
Customer Review: We had an old Eufy robot vacuum that just wasn’t worth the hassle of using. Our dogs hated the old vacuum and would chase it around, flip it down stairways, etc. It was time to replace it. I purchased a new Eufy self emptying model and hated it after one use. It got stuck in sooooo many places! Plus it had these tiny little bags that it emptied into that would require me to spend a fortune on replacement bags. I returned it and began researching Shark robot vacuums. I ordered this and was in awe of how well it worked! It mapped out our home and let me set up “no go” areas. I have this run every morning and it covers a large area, returns to the base to recharge and then resumes cleaning. It does a really nice job and has cut down on the time needed to run a manual vacuum. With two dogs and a busy household it gets a workout every day! It would not hold 60 days of debris for our household due to the dog hair. But that is not a big deal. I typically empty the canister every two to three weeks even though it isn’t full. It goes over area rugs like a champ! There are three floor vents that it will occasionally get stuck on if it hits them at the right angle…but that only happens about every other week…. and only on one of the three. Getting stuck once out of 14 runs isn’t too bad. Especially when our old Eufy would get stuck multiple times in one run.The cons have been that recently I will get an error saying the bin is not installed correctly…but it is and the vacuum continues to run and works just fine. It’s annoying that the app sends the notification while it is in fact working fine. The other complaint is about the app as well. If the vacuum does get stuck the app will not show where it is. You must activate the beeper on it to locate the vacuum. Not a big deal, unless of course the battery has died and it is unable to beep. Fortunately, we are aware of the three possible spots that it gets hung up and can check those if we are unable to locate it by sound. I do think the battery could last longer. It runs for about 45 minutes on normal power before it needs to return to recharge.Besides its cleaning ability the next best thing…our dogs completely ignore this vacuum! I don’t know if the older one made a sound that only they could hear and find annoying or what. But they have paid zero attention to this since its first run!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Amazing vacuum it does a great job. I have it cleaning my entire house in the late morning and then doing the high traffic areas again in the evening. But full suction is quite noisy, but it picks up all the dirt! The self emptying is great. I switched out the bag every 35 to 45 days. I found a source for decent off-brand bags for about one or two dollars each. Filters, brushes, and other parts I buy original from the manufacturer who often runs specials and their prices are reasonable.Paired with Alexa, I can just tell Alexa “clean my house” or “stop cleaning” any off schedule cleaning requiredI’ve had this for over a year now and absolutely love it. The picture shows how it’s able to park itself even in a narrow space.
Customer Review: I have had this Vacuum for years now and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase, the value has been out of this world, I have definitely gotten my moneys worth or more . It does a great job collecting dust, cat hair, and other debris, and is very durable and reliable. The size is really nice, it is easy to store but big enough to pick up a lot of stuff. As a bonus it is way quieter than my upright, so much so my 2 cats don’t even care about it. The app is easy to use and set up a schedule or clean on demand from anywhere. I want to upgrade my current model, nothing wrong with it but there are better models available now. Will 100% be buying another Eufy.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: I have been using this robot for a while now, and I am very impressed with its overall performance. The suction power is genuinely strong, it can easily picks up dust, and hairs from both floors and carpets, even in corners. The self-emptying all-in-one base is a huge convenience, handling dust collection, mop washing, and hot air drying, which makes the whole process almost completely hands-free. Overall, this is a powerful, intelligent, and well-designed robot vacuum that truly delivers on convenience and cleaning performance. Great value for the features it offers, and highly recommended.
Customer Review: I bought this because I had a previous, more expensive Robot vac and mop solution and hated it. I’ve had the previous device for a year, and spent a good chunk of money on it, only to have it be loud, hard to clean, hard to maintain, and it just didn’t work very well. When I finally got sick of wrestling with it, I asked Copilot for recommendations and this guy was at the top of the list. At half the price of the previous device, this seemed like it was worth a try.First, the documentation is awesome. There’s a large quick start card that’s easy to ready, easy to follow, and actually works for quick set up and mapping. The manual is great too – the parts list and illustrations are on a different sheet, so you can easily read the instructions and refer to the illustrations at the same time – which means when you go to do maintenance, it’s easy to follow and figure out. There’s a clear maintenance schedule – when to clean, when to replace – and when I walked through it all to make sure I understood, easily and quickly found all the parts and could follow all the instructions.Mapping my 1400 sq foot house took 15 or 20 minutes, and there weren’t any issues. Then I went into the software, named and organized the cleaning schedule, clicked the button and shazaam. The device itself is very quiet. I probably wouldn’t run it while sleeping, but you can easily watch TV without having to turn up the volume. Both the side brush and the mops swing out, so I got great coverage under the edges of cabinets, along the edges of floors, and around table legs, etc. The sweeper fins are great – not brushes, instead they’re soft rubber fins, so pet hair doesn’t tangle up. The mop heads provide great coverage and do a great job with damp mopping and spot cleaning, with good floor contact – but it flawlessly recognized even very thin carpets and mats and didn’t try to mop them.Best value for sure, so much better than the more expensive device I struggled with for a year. Highly recommended!

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This review is for the Roborock QV3a. After hearing my brother-in-law rave about his robot vacuum, I hesitantly bought this. I was hesitant because I had purchased one many years before, and it had been virtually useless. It only vacuumed, was loud with minimal suction, banging its way around and it constantly got clogged with debris and eventually ended up at Goodwill. This vacuum does a wonderful job both vacuuming and mopping, competing with models that cost three times as much. After creating four different maps, the first map, map with the 1st floor family room, kitchen and dining room room all on one level, I segregated an area of the kitchen that gets very dirty after cooking, to allow me to do a daily vacuuming and mopping of this area. The second map included a living room off of our raised entry hall. The third map included the raised tiled entry hall. The fourth map included the second level of the house, including three bedrooms and a large balcony. We have biweekly housekeeping, so most of yhe areas of the house, including a carpeted living room, tile entry hall, living room, 4 bedrooms and balcony, only require vacuuming as needed, often once in the week we don’t have housekeeping. After completing a cleaning of the whole house I was very impressed. It thoroughly cleaned including under furniture picking up an amazing amount of dust bunnies. Our regular vacuum did not fit under dressers, couch, couches, etc. Mopping the tile areas resulted in very clean floors. I did established some no go areas to keep the vacuum from hitting areas with a large number of cords. I also created no go areas under the beds and a couple dressers. Avoiding these areas, greatly speeds up the cleaning process. It is easy to establish no go areas. I can delete them a couple times a year to clean under furniture. I also put up an invisible line on the railing in our balcony, the robot did not see this as a wall, and it would feel its way along the railing, greatly slowing the cleaning process. The robot does seems to learn each time it cleans finding a more efficient way to clean. I also found that moving the chairs away from the dining room table slightly allowed the robot to clean under the table much faster. Our family room has a very large area rug in it with hardwood floors throughout. The robot was able to identify the rug area, mopping/vacuuming hardwood floors and vacuuming the area rug. The app is very intuitive easily allowing the establishment of no goes zones or invisible walls. To clean, simply restore the map for the area you want to clean, select the area you want to clean, and choose your cleaning mode of mopping, vacuuming, or both. It is very simple to use. When done the robot empties the dirty water, cleans the mopping pads, and empties the dust bin. I am very happy with my purchase. For anyone that wants to purchase a cleaning robot without spending $1000 or more, this is an excellent choice.
Customer Review: This is my 2nd Roborock vac/mop combo. I just love it. When you have 2 Shiba dogs, dog hair is everywhere in the house. This really helps keep the floors clean without me having to do it manually. It comes packed carefully, easy to setup and operates through the app. I decided on a 2nd one for my upstairs since the one downstairs works so well. It does a great job mapping your house, and can vacuum and mop at the same time with no problems. It even washes the mop head on long jobs then continues cleaning. This is so next level compared to the IRobot.I highly recommend this Roborock vacuum.

Complete Buying Guide for Best Vacuum Robot For Pet Hair
Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing a robot vacuum for pet hair, several key factors make a huge difference in daily performance. Suction power is paramount—look for at least 4000Pa for light shedding, and 6000Pa+ for heavy shedders. Self-empty bases are a game-changer, extending the time between maintenance from days to weeks or even months. Navigation technology like LiDAR ensures systematic, efficient cleaning without missing spots. For pet owners, brushroll design is critical; anti-tangle or rubber brushes prevent hair wrap. Battery life should match your home size—aim for 90+ minutes for larger spaces. Finally, consider mopping capability if you have hard floors, and smart features like app control, voice compatibility, and no-go zones for customization.
Budget Planning
Robot vacuums for pet hair range widely in price. Entry-level models ($200-$400) offer basic suction and navigation but may lack self-emptying. Mid-range options ($400-$700) typically include LiDAR, self-empty bases, and stronger suction—this is where the best value lies for most pet owners. Premium models ($700+) boast top-tier suction (8000Pa+), all-in-one docks with mop washing, and advanced obstacle avoidance. Set your budget based on your pet’s shedding level, home size, and how hands-off you want to be. Remember to factor in long-term costs like replacement bags, filters, and mop pads.
Final Thoughts
Investing in a robot vacuum specifically for pet hair can transform your cleaning routine. The models we’ve highlighted cover a range of needs and budgets, but they all share the ability to tackle fur and dander effectively. For most pet owners, a mid-range model with a self-empty base and at least 6000Pa suction (like the Tikom L8000 Plus or Shark AV2511AE) offers the best balance. If you have heavy shedders or allergies, consider stepping up to the DREAME D20 Plus or DREAME L40 Ultra for their exceptional suction and filtration. Ultimately, the right robot will save you hours of manual vacuuming and keep your home noticeably cleaner between deep cleans.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are robot vacuums effective at picking up pet hair?
A: Absolutely! Modern robot vacuums with strong suction (4000Pa+) and anti-tangle brushes are specifically designed to handle pet hair on both hard floors and carpets. The best models, like those on our list, use powerful motors and brushrolls that grab and trap fur without clogging.
Q: How often should I empty the dustbin on a robot vacuum for pets?
A: It depends on your model and shedding level. Without a self-empty base, you’ll likely need to empty it after every 1-3 runs in a heavy-shedding household. With a self-empty base, the base can hold debris for 60-150 days, meaning you only touch the dustbin a few times a year. For homes with multiple pets, a self-empty model is highly recommended.
Q: Can robot vacuums handle long pet hair without tangling?
Q: Do robot vacuums work on carpets with pet hair?
A: Yes, but effectiveness varies. Models with strong suction (6000Pa+) and carpet boost features automatically increase power on carpets for deeper cleaning. The Shark and DREAME models on our list excel on carpets. However, very thick, high-pile carpets can still be challenging for some robots, so check the specs if you have plush rugs.
Q: How noisy are robot vacuums? Will they disturb pets or sleeping family?
A: Most modern robots are surprisingly quiet, often comparable to a conversation (60-70 dB). The Tikom L8000 Plus and DREAME models are known for quiet operation. However, the self-empty cycle can be louder (like a quick burst). Many pet owners report their animals ignore the robot, and scheduling cleanings for when you’re out or awake is easy via app.
As a pet parent, I know the never-ending battle with fur is real. But with the right robot vacuum, you can reclaim your time and enjoy consistently cleaner floors without constant effort. From the budget-friendly yet powerful Tikom G8000 Max to the ultra-premium DREAME L40 Ultra Gen 2, there’s a perfect match for every home and shedding level. Consider your specific needs—suction strength, self-empty convenience, floor types—and pick the model that addresses them. Your future self will thank you for the hours saved and the fur-free floors.
